The initial round of FX Smooth Twist X Slug liners was developed around the Nielson Specialty Ammo line of precision hunting slugs (picked due to the demand from the market place). There are now some different options on the market that shoot well out of these liners including the FX Hybrid Slugs, H&N & and additional NSA options. FX, Utah Airguns and other folks are still doing a lot of testing with different sizes, weight, shape, etc. slugs.

We would definitely recommend this liner if you are wanting to shoot NSA slugs. Initial testing has shown the FX Hybrid Slugs seem to shoot very well out of these liners as well.

EXPECTATIONS:

Here at Utah Airguns, we believe in setting clear expectations up front with our customers. The FX Airgun slug technology is relatively new and there is still a lot of testing to be done. While it is possible to achieve comparable accuracy to pellets with slugs, this is generally not the case from our experience (at least under 100 yards). Slugs are amazing for their high BC, energy retention, expansion capability, etc. so if you are looking to primarily hunt, or extend your range past 100 yards, you are on the right track.

Please be aware you will most likely need to invest time to tune and experiment with your gun to achieve desired results. If you are making regulator and other tuning adjustments please do your research first. You can void the warranty by incorrectly tuning your gun and adding aftermarket power upgrade parts.
